Various hormonal excess may cause an increase in BP which is termed endocrine hypertension.
This hypertension usually occurs in young people, can be severe, difficult to treat, resistant to the usual treatment. Thus, it needs to be differentiated from primary hypertension and treated accordingly.

- Cushing’s disease
- Pheochromocytoma
- Aldosterone secreting tumour
- Adrenocortical carcinoma
- Hyperthyroidism
- Hyperparathyroidism .
